Lincoln Riley Fires Back at Sherrone Moore's Comments Ahead of USC-Michigan Showdown
The anticipation is palpable as the No. 15-ranked Michigan Wolverines prepare to travel west and face the 4-1 USC Trojans this weekend. With a sold-out Los Angeles Coliseum awaiting them, the stage is set for an epic showdown.
However, Wolverines coach Sherrone Moore remained grounded during media interactions, downplaying the hype surrounding the historic venue. With a wry smile, he stated, "We're not celebrating going to the Coliseum. It's sold out, but that's because Michigan is coming."
When asked about Moore's comments, Trojans coach Lincoln Riley offered a straightforward response: "I don't really care what he says. We're focused on the game."
This highly anticipated Big Ten contest marks just the third meeting between USC and Michigan since 2006 and the first time the Wolverines have visited the Coliseum since 1957. While the Trojans hold a 6-5 lifetime record over Michigan, the Wolverines emerged victorious last year with a 27-24 win in Ann Arbor. Now, as conference foes, a budding rivalry between these two storied programs is emerging.
