At the prestigious SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Ringbrothers presented their latest masterpiece, a transformed 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, christened the KINGPIN. This project, a labor of love spanning over 5,500 hours, showcases a unique blend of classic charm and contemporary performance.
The Evolution of an American Legend
The transformation starts with the Mach 1's original unibody, which has been reimagined using a Roadster Shop FAST TRACK Stage III chassis. The result? A wider, more muscular stance, with a wheelbase that exudes a modern, forward-leaning attitude.
A New Look, a Familiar Spirit
While the KINGPIN retains the Mustang's iconic silhouette, its surfaces have been meticulously redesigned. The bodywork, crafted with Ragle Design, boasts a sleek, contemporary look with crisp lines and a powerful volume. The handcrafted panels, finished in the unique Bootleg Black by BASF, absorb light, creating a subtle yet striking presence on the road.
Carbon Fiber: The Modern Touch
Carbon fiber is seamlessly integrated throughout the KINGPIN, from the rear diffuser to the hood, grille, and valance. This lightweight material not only enhances the car's visual appeal but also contributes to its impressive performance. Each 3D-printed or machined component is a testament to Ringbrothers' commitment to design as both art and engineering.
Performance Meets Design
The KINGPIN's performance is as impressive as its looks. Under the hood, a powerful 5.0-liter Coyote V8 engine, paired with a Whipple supercharger, delivers an astonishing 800+ horsepower. This force is transmitted through a six-speed manual Bowler gearbox and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, ensuring a dynamic driving experience. The independent suspension and Brembo brakes, sized for endurance racing, complete the package.

The engine bay is a work of art in itself, a symmetrical masterpiece that belies the raw power it contains. The Flowmaster Super 44 exhaust adds a deep, mechanical tone, enhancing the visual impact of the build with its powerful sound.

The custom ENYO crushed-carbon hoop steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges, and Vintage Air Gen IV system come together to create a modern, yet respectful, interpretation of the Mustang's original design.
